I do not have Christopher Tonner's DOB or birth place but believe his parents names were Claus Tonner and Antje Karstens, some older notes also suggest that Claus Tonner's fathers name was Stoffer Tonner, possibly born in 1730?? Christopher Tonner's wedding date was November 23, 1819 to Elsabea Henrietta Buchholz. They had twins in 1827, a boy and a girl. The daughter was Maria Katarina Tonner and the son was Claus Friedrich Tonner (DOD 1900). Claus Friedrich Tonner married Magdalena Margaretha Ehlers on December 2, 1851 and they had only a single child, Adolph Christoph Tonner, born in 1866. As far as I can tell, most everyone was from Meldorf or the surrounding Dithmarschen area. In fact, my fathers cousin, xxxxx Tonner and my second cousin xxxxxx Tonner still live in Meldorf. I was just there in July. xxxxxx Tonner is a dentist in town as was xxxx, who is retired.
